Who We Are
The Dayton Ohio Ghosthunters Society is actually based out of New Lebanon, Ohio. We are a group/club/society of paranormal enthusiasts and are available to investigate in the following towns in Ohio: New Lebanon, Farmersville, Germantown, Carlisle, Gratis, Brookville, Lewisburg, Liberty, Moraine, West Carrollton, Clayton, Englewood, and of course, Dayton.
We have been investigating the paranormal as a 100% self-funded group, free of charge, since December of 2007. We hope to provide answers for the unexplained events that are going on around you. Our service mark/trade name has been registered through the state of Ohio.
DOGS utilizes an array of electronic equipment and computers during our onsite investigations to capture evidence of hauntings and the paranormal. Visit our Mission Page for further insight on what services we offer. You can also check out our case files page to see where we have investigated.
Who We Aren't
- We're not "Ghost Busters"
- We aren't provokers (we respect both the living and the non-living)
- We aren't experts (in this field, there are no experts)
- We aren't 501(c)3 non-profit
- We don't (and cannot) accept money for investigating
- We aren't the group that meets monthly at the Dayton Library downtown
- We aren't interested in being on TV/radio
- We don't want our own TV/radio show
- We don't do private ghost tours or ghost walks
- We're not doing this to become rich, famous, or popular
We DO NOT have on staff a member who can remove spirits, is a demonologist, is a priest, do exorcisms, bless houses, or remove negative energies. We are friends with several other local groups, and these are the resources we bring to bear when necessary. Being a "first response" team, our role is to go in, figure out what's happening and what's needed, and then get the proper specialist in if required.
